In order to maintain a safe and happy environment, for the enjoyment of the sport of tenpin bowling, we ask that all bowlers abide by the following rules:

  • Club shirts to be worn at all times, unless notified previously otherwise

 

  • Black trousers, skorts, skirts or leggings may be worn (no jeans, joggers or shorts as NAYBC Tournament Rule 7)

 

  • Bowling in sweatshirts or hoodies will not be permitted during league play, remove them after practice

 

  • No food to be taken into the players area

 

  • When bowling be aware of other bowlers. If they are on the approach either side of you allow them to bowl before you step on to the approach

 

  • Do not use another bowlers equipment unless they have given you permission

 

  • When players are on the approach do not try to distract them

 

  • Do not try to give instruction to another bowler unless you are a Licensed Instructor

 

  • When your game is complete and you are waiting for the next game to start do not leave the lane unless you really need to (e.g. toilet break)

 

  • Under no circumstances will swearing be tolerated

 

  • Try not to bring personal problems onto the lanes

 

  • Tidy up after bowling (take mugs back to the canteen & put cans & wrappers into the bin)

 

  • Your bowliing equipment is your responsibility, treat other bowlers equipment with respect

 

  • Change your shoes before entering the bowlers area

 

  • If you have a comment/complaint to make about the YBC/YAC speak to a Committee member or Parent Rep.

 

  • Mobile phone are not to be used during the Club except in emergencies. If you are expecting a call hand your phone to one of the officials before bowling starts

 

  • Score sheets must be filled in and countersigned by the opposing captain. Score sheets should then be handed to the Club Secretary. No Sheet No Score

 

  • If you are unable to attend please notify any member of the Committee. If unable to do so please contact the bowling centre and leave a message. (The AGM agreed a fee of £1 to be paid for non attending weeks)

 

  • Bullying will not be tolerated
